Ford New Holland 5030 LP cab

Good morning. I'm doing a bit of a tidy up in the cab. Trying to remove the evidence of the drunken, chimpanzees party that seems to have happened when I wasn't looking.... Why do all tractor cabs end up like this ? The blighters have been around most of my neighbours, as well. Except for the new Valtra over the river. Oh, no. They didn't dare touch that.

Can someone advise me on removing the dash panel, and the lower panel ?The clutch pedal and brake pedal trunnions run through holes in the lower panel, making it impossible to remove with taking off the pedal arms, as far as I can see. And I can't see a way of removing the arms without taking the panel off. Surely some mistake ?

I could use a little grinder and make slices in the lower panel so as to slide it away from the trunnions, but I am reluctant to start chopping up "trim", as the car boys call it.

Any suggestions gratefully received. I hope someone has done this before 🙂

Hi there, all linkages need to be loosened under neath the cab. Lots of light will be needed, a swear box and plasters.

You can lift out the floor mats 1st. Then unscrew the bolts round the dash. The trim will pull away.

The end of the clutch and brakes have a grub screw on them.

That particular cab is a miserable thing to work on.I remember cutting holes in the trim to replace the clutch cable ( often cos it’s badly routed) because access is so tight.

After some reflection - mainly about life being too short - I've decided to not go any further with removing stuff. It's good enough. Thank you all for your advice.
