Freelander 2 boot catch

Hi All
Son has a Freelander 2 with a faulty boot catch. I think it is live still but not releasing. Has anyone had the misfortune of owning one of these and having this problem? Is there a way of manually opening?

From memory I think if you hold the lock and unlock buttons on the centre console down for a couple of seconds it will release the boot

Thanks I will pass that on. I suspect it is something to do with micro switch. Stupid not having a manual over ride.

Not had this issue in either of my 2 and I trap all sorts of crap in the boot catch

Are you certain it’s not the key battery. Had a similar issue, wouldnt open the doors but would the boot.

They have checked the fuses. They can open the doors on the fob. The boot will not open on the interior buttons, fob or the rear external catch.

Yep we had a car that had the fuse go for the boot a couple of times.
