French Row Cleaner for JD 750a

Only seen the photos below myself not in real life

Idea is to create a very narrow clean strip. I think it has legs but needs depth control controlled by a spring or hydraulics otherwise it will dig in too much. Very fine line between doing a good job and blocking the drill. Any thoughts?

I tried this idea but to much ground pressure the tine went out of line with the disc and to little it didn't move enough trash . I made one with a piece of flat welded on with a slot cut in for the disc to keep it in line but it bunged up with trash ( and squeaked like a goodun ) .

Yes, I can see the potential problems. Just wonder if we could work around them.

I'd mount the tine the other way round and have it laid down more in the second pic.

@moretimeforgolf made a tine cleaner, I though it worked fairly well. He posted some pictures on an earlier thread

Yep Andy, there are some photos on a thread titled 'Tips for 750A novice'. Did a pretty good job for establishing rape but by no means perfect. Where I 'sinned' and had a couple of fields baled the rape is definitely better established but it may make no difference come harvest.

@Bprengineering cleaners are the way to go - worked fantastically on my drill but a full set is ££££
