Fuel pipe making kit thingy

Hi all we used to be able to buy a selection fuel pipe fitting male, female, banjos etc and the ferrules with the crimper tool that bolts together

Anyway the tool broke and I've chucked it (thinking I'll easily buy another) and the selection box of fittings is getting somewhat low...

Can't for the life of me find where we bought it from the tool and kit came as 1, nor am I having much luck in sourcing another kit...

Can any of you point me in the correct direction of a kit and tool.

Thank you

James

Is this the type of thing?

Sparex still have the fitting kit.......haven't found the tool yet though...
That's the ones but the tool they don't do anymore
Its not like the one in your other post either

This was a basically to bits of bar with 4/ 5 holes drilled to give you the pipe diameter of the ferrule to crimp, the bars were in 2 halves then nipped them together
Crude but worked well when making pipes it was handy

Thanks for your posts so far

when you say "chucked it", is it gone or do you still have it.
could another one be made?.

ive seen the proper assembly crimper but it was up on near 2k and i very much doubt your going to spend that kind of coin.

But, in a case where beggars cant be choosers, there is this, all in all its not too dear if it done your job.

or here.

Ireland is ok...
Just thinking twice about importing as much as we used too.
Problem there is that even the sparex one your looking for is probably made in the far east anyways and while its noble of you to be thinking that way, and I'd agree with your opinion, alas, price will always dictate as 95% of people want the cheapest price.

Indeed the only people that we could blame for the far East rise in manafacturing is the western world, the price was appealing to both customers and retailers and so the market was filled and quality was forgotten.

Altho, as I was saying, I seen an Italian ferrule crimper, which stands a very high chance of actually being made in Italy for a price of €1800 if you want to avoid far East merchandise and practice what you preach.

Maybe your thinking, like a lot of others I'm sure, that on the 1st of Jan 2021 the great British wheel of industry is going to come roaring back into existence and all will be great again..
Well unfortunately that's not going to be the case I'm afraid, people will still buy the cheapest price and Brittan won't be able to match that.

Thats not a dig at you and don't take it that way, it's just what I see as a reality.

Yes I agree 100% with the majority going for the cheapest, i can't control the majority but I can do my bit.
Look at the weather how calm it is since the planes has stopped.... it makes you stop and think that price isn't everything.

I'm talking to my machining firm about making me one, so I'll see what he comes back with.

Already speaking to casting firms to make our popular items the price isn't major either but the travel miles are 60% less which is a bonus it's horses for courses.
I think if a few make changes others may follow, quality rather quantity which will put a bit of value into products rather 10 a penny...
