Maybe the Govt should wake up to the fuel crisis esp diesel

Ration domestic fuel to
Stop the public wasting fuel on days out at the seaside , holidays abroad etc
Tell public to turn their heating down
Prioritise military and farmers and haulage

without food to eat , the means of getting food to the shops and a soldier to protect us , the U.K. would implode into civil war in my opinion

Had to send a tractor to fill up at our local depot whilst waiting for them to deliver.
Was told the delivery would be circa 129ppl ..... today had to pay 139.6ppl at the depot.

Someone is either profiteering bigly ........ or this could spell real economic turmoil in the years ahead

Look on the bright side, the Oil Companies are laughing all the way to the Caymen islands.

However, more profit = more corporation tax = more shareholder divi's = higher share price = improved pension pot performance.

Costs passed on = higher prices = higher wage demands = more income tax revenue = higher inflation = higher interest rates= better returns for savers..........

What's not to like ?

But how many litres will be used to grow fuel for ad plants this spring, why should someone not be allowed to go and see a relative, let there kids have some fresh air after the last 2 years as their fuel is taken for for me dubious reasons.

for me the price will ration it and that is more than enough

All being well, this should see a massive increase in AD producing gas from waste and crops, then injecting it into the gas grid.

Oh dear i'm trying to stop laughing. Wake up to the fuel crisis that they caused by not ensuring that Ukraine remained a neutral country and then banning Russian oil imports which is exactly the same as loading the gun and then shooting yourself in both feet.

Germany has acknowledged the problem at least.

"German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Tuesday that her country would “not be able to move” without Russian oil imports. While the UK and US announced they would cease buying Moscow’s oil, Germany is too reliant to quit. "A third of our oil imports come from Russia," Baerbock told the video channel of the newspaper Bild. “If we stopped these straight away, then tomorrow we would not be able to move in Germany anymore.” “We are trying to do everything we can to stop this war,”

This admission from the life-long environmentalist is especially poignant against the background of Russia saying that, hey, if need be we can stop all deliveries to Europe and even shut down Nord Stream 1. After all, Germany is on the Russia's naughty countries list and is no longer viewed as some strategic partner.

The person that we spoke to yesterday said that the rise of red diesel price is down purely to farmers panic buying,,,,,,,,,, they are taking red out of the refinery quicker than they can pour the crude into the top, if there is a demand that exceeds production prices go up,,,,,,,, simples

Red diesel increase is due to panic buying, nothing else has changed to make the difference, was seen last year with Fert panic buying, and to a certain extent milling wheat in the last 10 days.

If I was CEO of an Oil Company, and for years have had every environmentalist, and governments telling me it's the end of fossil fuel, i think I would make hay while the sun shines.

There is no shortage of fossil derived fuel (oil, gas, coal) and if we wanted, we could be one of the big players, however the World agenda is CO2 reductions.

Now, Boris, let's see you turn this into a positive.............

Whist I completely agree, the trouble is that simply stopping won’t work as I’d be we don’t have the storage capacity , if one goes without I’m sure we all go without ,sad I know

Your clearly out of touch with the world… litrally every country in the world is having mass fuel price increases…. Red is going up faster than white because they’ve realised if they push red up too the same as white now while they’ve got this chance they can just ban red diesel all together and have life easier

So why is there no shortage of derv and forecourts working normally, but red is 10 days delivery and the extra margin on it is approaching the derv tax rate?
