Anyone on here know their way around this program? Got a 3-way seg gate and trying to set it so that the whole herd goes straight out to graze AM and then Highs are shedded back into shed at PM milking. Don’t want to shed highs out twice a day or they will always miss the footbath and don’t want to turn set gate off in the morning as still need to be able to shed cows the other way for feet, AI etc

Should add I know you can give cows a periodic destination in the traffic settings but how do you set this? Read about making a timeline in the configurator and linking it to the seg gate but won’t this just turn it completely off so can’t shed the other way if needed?

Tie it with shut with string to stop it sorting

swop the air pipes round to go opposite way, is what I do with mine

I did think about cutting the air pipes to the ram and putting a tap in then can just shut it off? Was just trying to fully automise it so the relief doesn’t get too confused!!

I have a 2 way seg gate and use periodic destination to sort at the pm milking.
I have 2 groups grazing together during the day and then split them into different sheds at pm milking.
I create a group,list of cows in the group to be sorted . You need to have a ' periodic destination' column on your group list. At the bottom of the list should Be a box where you can select a destination option for the sort gate.
Presumably you can get help through the NMR software help desk?

I’ve got the cows in groups but can’t see how you assign a destination to a group? Sorry if I’m being thick here
