As this is a fairly high up the list subject for many farms I thought I'd share what I learned today.
I used to be with boc for oxygen acet and mig gas. Till it got ridiculously expensive to rent them.
Switched to air products which got me three for the price if two. Until they kept sneaking the price up, to the point it was again ridiculous for me as a small user to have them, even though I'd be lost without them on occasion.
I've been using Adams gas for a few years now, perfect for the mig, ok for very occasional use heating and cutting, but no good for sustained use.
Just happened to be at a friends this afternoon when he had a rep out selling tools. Turns out he also does air products gas, had a whinge at him about the rental cost and informed him I'd gone to Adams gas because of it. Imagine my surprise when he tells me that air products do similar, but with proper sized bottles!!!!
The little ones are fine for me on the mig. But I'd love a bigger one on the oxygen again.
He's going to look into it for me so I know the costs.
