I bought an old opico from a neighbors farm sale couple of months ago. How much gas roughly will I need to dry 150 tons of milling wheat from 16.2% down to 14.5 I’ve got a tank on the farm but it would need a long pipe or will I get away with a few bottles this time

How long is a piece of string? If it's like our Opico it needs a liquid gas supply - a tank that feeds "gas" wont work- it needs a bottom feed.
150 tons is roughly 15 batches so I hazard up to 500 lts.

Many variables to quantify gas use, but budget for 80-90 litres per 10 ton batch, damp Nov weather etc. I don't think you can easily get LTO gas bottles. Use your bulk tank if at all possible.

Calor black top cylinders were £56.30 + vat (refill) back in August, so not cheap as you need a bank of 6.
Calor centres generally don't stock them as not a high demand product and usually have to order in

I’ve just ordered 2000l in the on floor tank. The grain in on the drying floor at the moment but I’m thinking on floor drying will be more gas hungry than the opico. Will a long pipe work an opico ok? It’s about 100ft
