the transport cost must be huge! fair bit of kit and all fair play to Smyth

You would be surprised. I was looking at bringing a vintage Peterbilt over from the US and the cost of port-to-port shipping was only $1500 on a RoRo boat. The customs fees to the shipping agent and road transport at either end was over 75% of the total cost.

With the weak pound I'll bet it's a lot more cost-effective than you might think.

no way I have just a shipped a container to the states door to door for half that & it was a 40ft one
Yea but I believe the trailer is 9ft wide so you have over size permits for it state side of say 8000 is about rite, knowing what it cost to ship 2 9ft Tri axle Smyth's to Ontario
