How does he get silage done just asking as see on TV he gives up a good block of his land to the festival every year

Cuts silage before they stat setting up for festival

Housed all year round the cows ?

Whole farm cut for silage,then cows housed while festival was on and a month after and then let back out to range the whole farm
That was 30 years ago though so not sure what happens now
Everything is a lot easier when you have that amount of money

Whilst the farm benefits indirectly with fences being fixed and leys being replaced when trashed - the farm itself doesnt charge a rent for the festival...
Is what I remember him saying at a talk I went to once. I know his neighbours charge a rent though.

The cow friendly biodegradable tent pegs from years back didn’t take off then?
I know the story is that he doesn’t earn much from it directly. But I was told (can’t guarantee its true though) that he owns the security company & also the company that supplies the fencing & so on.
There has to be a few quid coming in from somewhere when you commission port hole style windows for your milking parlour. A friend made them. Machined from lumps of phosphor bronze. I was told at the time the price, it shocked me.
