- Not for the first time in recent months, Kansas (HRW) is trading at a discount to Chicago (SRW) as the impacts of wet weather in the mid-west has come to fruition with concerns over quality on softs from the key growing region.
- Despite relatively good rains for S & E Australia, the World Meteorological Organisation has stated that it expects El Nino to peak between October & January with expectations for the most extreme event in years as E Pacific is expected to warm c. 2°c.
- Some concerns over Russian dryness for winter plantings came into the markets yesterday lending support for next years crop yet Black Sea continues to be offered at low prices on the back of good production figures this season.
- EU Interest Rate decision statement will be made tomorrow 1245BST with US Balance of Trade figures released at 1330BST tomorrow.
- The US turns warmer and dryer this week but precipitation comes back in the East next week with cooler temps, W Europe turns dryer but cooler for the 7-day whilst SW Russia remains dry in the 5-day, Argentina and Brazil turns dry for all regions in the 7-day with S & E Australia continuing to see precipitation in the 7-day.
