  • US markets close – closed for Independence day holiday.
  • US Midwest weather forecast has heat returning to the central US with highs in the mid 90’s, and the weekend seeing more seasonal temperatures across the Midwest.
  • US Southern Plains weather forecast is warm and wet for areas in eastern Texas, and Oklahoma, with elevated risk of wildfires continuing in the Southwest regions with intense heat and dryness.
  • Algeria reportedly purchased 660kmt optional origin wheat for September.
  • Russian weather sees increasing rainfall in the southern forecast as harvest activity ramps up.
  • French wheat futures continued their rally yesterday to a 3-week high, as storms across France and ongoing dryness in Germany and the Baltic increases the debate over the potential size of the French and EU crops.
  • London wheat futures saw marginal gains yesterday following firmer French values, although a slightly firmer currency limited the gains.
