Roundup just covers up bad farming

I would like to find a way of stopping our cover crops competing with maize, as we do not seem to get many hard frosts these days. As far as I am concerned, the lack of cover crops is a far greater evil than glyphosate.

By that logic so does the use of any herbicide, or fungicide or bagged fertiliser or worm drench or bought in feed. What is good and what is bad farming? If an area of land is farmed in such a way that it can support those working on it and uses no external inputs and has no environmental consequences but also fails to provide any exportable food to feed wider society is that good farming?

Pre harvest should be banned on cereals , plenty around here tearing about splashing it on ww-wb to speed up harvest , how much more direct can you get it into the food chain than that

My mistake then which is even better as we agree , it can be done ! To say you cant farM without as odd ones do is just mad , more farming been done without than with in the past .
