Going rate for hire

Just done 300 hrs for a local contractor what's the going rate for a 200 hp fastrac and man no diesal

the way my uncle works it, to hire a 7530 is £12 a clock hour, to hire a man is £12 a clock hour so he's happy with people charging around £24-£27 an hour.
In reality you should be charging double but then you'd be sat in your yard twiddling your thumbs. Next time when someone rings up and asks for you to go help them, ask what pay is first (y)

Are the next generation any better?

Massive assumption here but was it seasonal work dragging a trailer around the streets?
Tyre wear has a cost. Have seen £2/hr quoted on here for road work?
Try and ask the one of the final customers what your boss is hiring you out at?
This is obviously your absolute maximum (less diesel and a trailer).
Was there anyone else in the team on same arrangement?

Good luck getting what it should be.

You might need this.

With regards to tyre wear, when I ran wheeled diggers and my avatar in particular,it cost getting on for £3 a clock hour for tyres and that was premium rubber and not rubbish

Not looking to negotiate anything just looking for a half sensible price

So you not happy with what he's paying you?

No good looking for half sensible price afterwards, you should have sorted that before you started.
Would I load 300 T of wheat to a merchant and then wonder if I was going to get a half sensible price? No, I'd agree the price with the merchant before loading the first lorry.

And before someone tries to be funny I know that it might still not be a half sensible price :D:D:D
