Its a very early one ,the discs are same as a TS82 and so is the link at the rear of the headstock . The leaflet I have which announces the 102 and 103 as being the new ploughs has the pictures "doctored" to make the disc arms look like what was to follow . that leaflet is dated Oct 1972 .The one I have came new in 1974 , at that time they were getting modified with a fillet welded to the box where the bar point locates through ,that reinforced the frog to stop it bending . The 102 would have been the best selling reversible plough in Ayrshire by a mile at that time.

The late sown winter barley is greening up nicely, after it's first split of fert, but I could do with a chance to spray it with some CeCeCe to promote tillering and even it up, but it is way too cold and too breezy.

Out for a walk in the winter wheat fields today, I had to sow some of the headlands late, December 4th, but in general happy enough, will get NP&K this week.

Nice to have some very kind and forgiving soil to make a start on a year like this. Off to much tougher soil tomorrow and the heavy clay soils will take 10 days drying.

Bought a few pet bullocks, the Collie is well impressed.

I got most of the bean ground rolled and the few obstacles removed before the rain made an unwanted return, 2 hours before it was forecast, I may walk the rest to pick the small stones.
Nice to see a few spring plants starting to bloom.

Spring has sprung, even if the weather is failing to play ball. Nice to see the first of the wildflowers starting to make an appearance.

Brought out hay to the yearling cattle, they are a bit too kean for it, a sign of the poor spring unfortunately.

Weather all over the place, the cattle are still eating a lot of hay, considering they have plenty of grass, but it is drying them up and they are starting to thrive. Looking like we will jump straight from winter to summer without any meaningful spring.
