GPS Theft

On Tuesday night this week we had three Starfire receivers and a 2630 screen stolen from tractors. The tractors were all in a farm yard with locked gates and all the tractors were locked.The cab where the 2630 was located was opened using a key.
We have notified local farms etc as well as the dealer who have told John Deere and serial numbers have been circulated.
John Deere were reluctant to incorporate a destruct button on the next model or a remote detonation button, if the receivers were to be activated perhaps in the future I would be able to deploy a drone to take out the offending tractor. They are only of any use to farmers either in this country or any other.
Please be careful during this busy time of year with all your equipment, keep it locked away and out of sight.

Recently bought a 2630 + starfire receiver myself that happened to be stolen, knew the same day it was delivered, via local John Deere dealer checking serial numbers. Seller seemed genuine enough, and would of refunded me.. Decided to report it to the police, who hopefully will be seizing the items this week, then maby I will see my money back.

Anyway my point is, its not necessarily the end users fault, and the kit is effectively useless anyway
