Where the hell are you from with them prices? U can't get arable land round here for any less than £130 an acre
Which regs Specifically? Will new tighter RB movement regs have an impact on grass Let's this spring?
Grass lets here have gone mad this year (that's Lanarkshire in the country closer to heaven than south of Hadrian's wall ).
£150 an acre with no single payment is the norm
An awful lot of pits will see the back wall this spring, and folk are upping the forage at the expense of grazing, so need extra let grass.
Also severe poaching and flooding, and last autumn failed cultivation means far more spring grass reseeds being done.
I cannot see how buying grazing for this money an acre makes financial sense. I didn't get any grazing lets this year because wouldn't pay this silly money.
You are asking about grass rents and i am telling you my experience ---i only pay what i can make a reasonable profit on
Yikes, wish I sold grass seed in Yorkshire, any one in Yorkshire want a quote!I was talking to a customer today who was considering sowing it with grass to let out, seemed to think he would get £150 an acre for it! I thort silage grasses would be £80-£90 an acre. I'm in North Yorkshire, what's going rate here an elsewhere?
