I broadcast some grass seeds on yesterday (on a tired ley) as it was getting too wet to go through with the unidrill.
The big question .... shall I go over them with the tine harrows or just leave. Had serious rain yesterday before I had time to Harrow them .

I scratched some seed into a burnt off short term ley a week ago on Friday. In hindsight it was a waste of diesel as it was so dry the tines barely left a mark. I went back over it again last Monday after a shower, then rolled it.

It’s now greened up nicely, but then so have the bare patches in another ley that had a late cut of haylage taken in August just from the shed seeds. No harrowing or rolling.
