Grazing

Hi All

What would 4.5 acres of grass for sheep to graze down per month or per annum in wythell please? its some flat land and some sloping down to pond

not the best looks a bit clumpy and rough but plenty of grass on it at the moment, without water as the filed next door want to put some lambs on is field which been cut but my land not been cut so is rough grass. do not know the right price to charge for him to put the sheep on our 4.5 acres. and how the best to draw up a contract for this as well. Many thanks Graham

How well do you know the grazier? Have to be careful people dont try to claim the field if you let them use it 365days of the year. If you know him well then it isnt worth more than a few notes £100 tops imo. If you want it legal then get a land agent to draw up a grazing licence and add that fee to the rent

Yeah I wouldn't charge. Maybe get him to top it and it keep it right if anything. If you're really lucky he might sprinkle a wee bit of fert on it too
