Will never take Grease. I think its the rear one, but its the one that points straight down out of the casting, not the right angle one on the pin. Every time I take it out, clean it and put it back and when I go back to it its bunged again. Is there a reason or do I need to do it at least weekly? A few times a year i would have thought would be enough. Its not much fun lying underneath it. Basically is it me being too lazy or is there an underlying issue. @Phil P and anyone else. Its really beginning to vex me.

Have you jacked it up and checked the bushes for wear? It could be what’s causing it to bung up.

Usually a sign the bushes are warring and debris is block the whole! As has been said jack it under the chassis/weight block and check for any play, usually you’ll see the axle pivot back as you lift it when there’s a lot of play.
If it wares through the bushes it’s not long before it starts to eat into the axle castings, turns into a big job then.
