Hi
If i have 5 acres of land and I need a glasshouse/greenhouse of half and acre on it, I would need permission, from what i have understood about planning and permitted planning. The question is how difficult are planning to deal with. The greenhouse would be for plants & some veg, More plants though. Would allow me to grow all year round.

Thanks

If these would be plants of a herbal variety then maybe best not to do it where people could see into it :sneaky:

But in all seriousness get yourself some decent plans drawn up and go from there really.

:LOL:LOL, no really just general stuff, nothing to hot.
Am i gonna have to get a consultant on this? Are the planners difficult? should I just attempt this myself. It comes under agriculture? right?

I had a look at poly tunnels, but I would rather go down the solid greenhouse/glasshouse. But considering the worst case scenario how big of a poly tunnel can i put on the land? 50sqmX50sqm? LOL am I pushing it?

You will need full planning for a big glasshouse and a shedload of money. Have you priced the cost of actually building it?
Mate of mine built one, borrowed a million to do it and that was 20 years ago.

If a structure is moveable so no foundations then you don't need planning permisoon. Could they be built on a sled of some sort?
No they would have to be solid. In a greenhouse I could grow plants all year round. protected from the weather.
I suppose i could build one with wheels do i have to show it moves, concrete wheels lol. just kidding
