getting a new 6215 with auto steer sf2. Never had anything to do with gps. Will be used for drilling with new horsch drill. Is it any good.

Awesome bit of kit. After you have used it you won't want to go if it breaks.
I only have it unlocked to sf1 and hope to use it for drilling this time. It does come with I think 3 x 24hr grace /trial periods sf2 so if I find it isn't quite good enough I can try that before I commit.

Yes, it's very good. Do check the drill is pulling straight though before you put in zero overlap! Keep the software up to date too.

It is worth having some training on Greenstar before you use it and again while you are using it to get the best out of it. Like all things any idiot can do it but it takes practice to do it properly.

There are plenty of Greenstar users in here so feel free to ask any questions you like.

If it's your first venture into precision farming I believe you are starting at the right point by drilling your tramlines equally apart. Will take a little time to get the hang of and set to your preferences. Take the time to measure your machinery and put the figures into the screen.

Horsch is home but tractor not home until end of August so can't even get to see how it all works

Agree, but a little misleading. Reducing the implement width doesn't compensate for it not pulling straight. I don't think i've got any implement that pulls straight so an implement offset left or right will need entering for each.
