Anyone remember a few years back Guardian was receiving significant monies to “investigate modern agriculture”? which seemed to translate as poorly written hatchet jobs. Who was behind funding that?

I remember it being mentioned more than once on here when the cow fart = global boiling all started up.

Any links be useful.

The series was called "Animals Farmed" and was bankrolled by one of those shady tax-dodging philanthropies, in this case one called the Open Philanthropy Project (now just known as Open Philanthropy). That organisation is funded by billionaires Dustin Moskovitz and his wife Cari Tuna. The former has invested a lot of money in the fake meat sector.

If you want to see just how much money he's been chucking at the fake meat sector, and those who shill for it (Good Food Institute, for example), you can find a partial list here

Without looking at all of their accounts, my feeling is that people still don't want fake meat, so those investors are likely to have lost a ton of money. I see that a local vegan restaurant in a very affluent area has closed down
