Yes, but where’s the market for these feed mills If their RT assured customers have to buy feed produced to the RT standards.
By imposing standards on people like me, they are being passed down the line to people like you.
they would like to impose their standards on every blade of grass, hopefully they never will, just puppets of the s markets @topground had them sussed years ago.
the whole corrupt racket needs disposing of

That’s unfair 😡
Whatever you might think Guy has engaged on here more than any othe individual who holds high positions in representative organisations. He has argued the case for the organisation he represents. What he doesn’t need is the unnecessary personal abuse and vitriol thrown at him. We may disagree, sometimes strongly, but we should still afford him or any poster respect and decency.
You may disagree with this.
Not always his stock response seemed to be ask if anyone asking a question was a member of the nfu and if so could they message him privately not discuss on the forum

But it DOES exist. So the issue is how to moderate it, change it or close it down. If any of those goals are to be achieved it will require strong advocates that have an in depth understanding of the industry. The reality is that that understanding will have to be along the supply chain not just at farm production level.
It shouldn’t exist. It does nothing does it. The rules we all stick to are LAW. We do no need RT sat in the middle.

not posted since the end of jan, if he looks in or not is another matter
He mentioned to me on Twatter that he very rarely comes on here as he said too much name calling etc.
But yes, his advice was to talk to my NFU local bod and my MP!!! He did offer to speak to me but I wasn’t interested in yet more waffle.
Am now blocked by him

That is just so cynical! Your local NFU bod is one of the owners of red tractor!

What's he going to do?

There is no way the UK could ever enforce RT/equal regulation on imported commodities- it would simply mean no one would bother landing commodities here. Why the heck should the international commodity markets give a stuff about what some peculiar organisation in the UK wants?

I've seen grain produced, stored and transported abroad. There is no fudging way they are going to play the sticker game in these countries. They don't have the time nor the facilities in many places.

If they want to sell to UK they would have to, if they didn't sell to the UK and there was a shortage the price would go up then there would be a true premium on RT goods

Really? There's been very little sign of any change so far.
Thats because they haven't asked for change.
According to Mr Roberts the NFU are the key to all of this as they can tell RT what to do, (thats what he said and repeated)
So in due course and in the name of a democratic organisation (as they claim to be) the NFU will be asking its members what they want done about RT.
All that stands to reason doesn't it ?

Not strictly relevant to this thread but seems as good a place as any to ask.

I thought I saw (but may have imagined it or got mixed up) something about asking RT related questions at insurance renewal time with the NFU.

I have a meeting next week. Is there any value in this?

I understand that the NFU insurance is not the same entity and NFU.....but I thought I saw somewhere on here that they were linked, the message that farmers are willing to insure elsewhere due to RT would help the fight?
