Tiles, I've allowed 9mm for tiles and around 3 for the bed of adhesive. So 50 + 13 is 63. I was double checking levels last night. 190mm, 100 + 90 insulation would give 47 mm screed....180mm insulation 90 + 90 would give 57mm screed. So the later would give 70 overall. Might feel more solid?Never would i screed a floor again with a sand screed, have put down around 20 floors with liquid screed, fab stuff ,
What are you finnishing the floor with tile ? Overall depending on your floor finnish 65 to 75 mm total
You will need anti fracture matting under the tiles, so another 5 mm,and make sure your insulation is flat, if laying 2 layers do alternate directions and tape all the joints in the insulation .polythene on top of insulation aswell, clip underfloor thru polythene clips hold better, and hoover it all just before screed goes down,no floaty bits .Tiles, I've allowed 9mm for tiles and around 3 for the bed of adhesive. Would it be feasible to board all ceilings and walls before The floor is insulated and under floor heating Is installed and screed laid as we will need use of a scissor lift or certainly scaffold towers and didn’t fancy those being used over the screed

That's a good point, wouldn't want a lot of pressure in one area especially if the screed isn't fully cured. Yes it could be a boarded out and even plasted...the windows and doors are the next things to get fitted in the next couple of week.
The problem with leaving till last is drying time.you have a good floor to start with ,get windows and doors and roof on then screed ,do not walk on it for a week,as you will ruin surface and get a dust bowl ,alwaus laid floor as soon as poss ,and been very careful about putting to much weight in one cornerView attachment 863649taken a few months ago

They are poor,,they come in packs and i dont open the packs until they are being laidView attachment 864255took delivery of the celotex today.....never seen such uneven boards!! They can go straight back....xtratherm are as flat as a mill pond
Are they 100mm or 75mmThis was celotex.... The xtratherm I've been using in the roof were flat as.....they're replacing them anyway....at £24 a go ....you expect something decent
It will be fine i would think ,Putting 90mm with 100mm to give 55mm of screed...thought about two 90mm but felt 65mm liquid screed was a little much....what do you think?
I have a floor screed very soon and one guy who is who is giving me a price wants to do it with a sand and cement base screed it will be 70 5MM thick and he has quoted me a fair bit less for this than a liquid screed which would you choose the sand cement base one was roughly half the cost most of the building Floors will be tiled afterwards one room is 8.5 M by 5.2 and I would appreciate your thoughtsNever would i screed a floor again with a sand screed, have put down around 20 floors with liquid screed, fab stuff ,
