Half Hourly meter removal

I have a half hourly electric meter which i would like shifted back to a standard one as i find the standing charge eye watering.
The meter is set at 90kva and i use 3000kw hours per year mainly for grain drying/elevators etc and 95% is used between July and October.
I have drawn a blank getting it shifted as no power suppliers are interested in doing it.
My current suppliers contract runs out shortly.
Advice for above would be welcome

Perhaps a generator fitted and get meter removed altogether. if only using that small amount.

I recently asked British Gas about this and they said it would cost 'a lot' to have it removed but couldn't actually give me a price. I suspect its in their interest not to remove it but I cant swap to BG Lite with a half hourly meter. Chicken and egg ..........
