Why can't these multinational companies be open and honest.

Let consumers have informed choices
Syngenta you say? The company that manufactures imidacloprid, the neonicotinoid chemical that has poisoned my dog‘s brain brain causing seizures? That Syngenta?

Still use DDT is certain parts of the world despite all that’s known about it

’kin stuff killed my pet geese and all the fish in the village pond when the idiot pilot forgot to turn the nozzles off when aerial spraying cotton

Was in the 60s and not on the Sainted Isle in case anyone was wondering

Did you actually research the facts behind the story ?

I haven't yet

From experience with "The Guardian" they print articles based on other people's opinion which sometimes - if not a lot of times - turn out to be either factually incorrect or biased

For example: Stating Livestock use water based on the Rainfall of the Amazon

I wouldn't trust ANYTHING coming out of that rag

@Sid so the Dr for Bayer said they complide with all the safety data requested by the EU

The USA asked for the reports which were given - the EU obviously did not

So this is a failure on the part of the EU to regulate in a professional manner ?

Dr Cristina Alija, from Bayer, told the hearing: “Bayer has always acted responsibly and transparently to provide the required data for a complete safety assessment of our substances. We have to submit all relevant data and this is what we did.”

Dr Alexandra Brand, from Syngenta, said: “We did not submit [the toxicity studies] at the time to EU regulators because they were not mandatory. We determined they did not provide any new information. Our company complies with the rules. We have nothing to hide.”

So as long as the legal requirement is satisfied, any other health affecting issues discovered are immaterial.

And we wonder why regulations get tighter and tighter on chemicals. Rightly so it seems!

What an inflamitory thing to say given nothing was hidden - says so in the article

Compliance in the USA required the data & it was given

The EU failed in their regulatory duties, that is the actual news

Looks as though you don't like Chemicals - which is hypocrasy given they keep us all alive daily

Kills billions of life forms ever day. Not all of them bad

Keeping Billions of Humans alive killing insects & bacteria & fungi

I do think those pushing the "Environmental" agenda need to be MADE to live by their ideology & pay the taxes they propose

Could be done by creating seperate states - people could move there & live the way they preach

Would soon end the ego driven rhetoric
