Spaldings ones are really good, the scratchy ones I mean. Rocol ‘bucket of scrubs’ are better but seem to have got quite expensive. The soft ones you can get like gorilla wipes etc are just crap.

So a year into self employment and I find myself craving at least less diesel with my pack up. Which wipes are good?????
I use these, rather than hand wipes, excellent gloves and tough and reusable many times

off topic but on topic at the same time.
had a tractor come in here for a job on the handbrake in the cab a few months ago, house keeping wouldnt of been high on his priority list when it came to the cab so i "moved" a tad of stuff away from round the back of the handbrake mechanism to set to work on it, after about 10 mins there my eyes and the inside of my nose started to burn slightly, uncomfortable at the least shal we say, i thought it was something i was around earlier and it was tea time so went and had a cuppa and all felt grand, back to the cab again and sure enough i got the same effects again.
So, i had a bit of a rummage around to see what was causing the noxious smell and lo and behold its a dried out hand wipe......
the smell of it was potent, i binned it left the cab for a half hour and when i came back to it i had no bother after.
the thing that crossed my mind was, what the hell are they putting into that particular wipe that you were rubbing on your hands to get the dirt off, i came to the conclusion in this instance that the dirt might of been more of a friend than the wipe...

a good barrier cream is a wise investment imo, totally agree with what sawdust says above about getting wiser as you get older.

I meant to add, you should get used to wearing gloves. As a side bonus your phone doesn't get covered in grease; when it rings you can take the glove off, answer it then (if you use quality gloves) put the glove back on
