Looking to buy one, has anyone got any suggestions for a powerful battery hand held spotlight for long range quarry spotting
Led lenser do a good range, extremely powerful, we have a p7 torch and it lights up the hill opposite (bout 1/2 mile , like daylight ) worth a look ;)

I bought a LED Lenser X21 Xtreme Torch few years back. Amazing torch, but not exactly cheap! And it won't go in your pocket. It's about the same as a car headlight.

The small P7 or T7's are good. P14 not much better than a P7 IMO so a waste.

Another plus 1 for the lenser - fits in your pocket, adjustable beam, and not too hard on batteries. I use mine every night when I have the last walk round to count heads and legs, and listen to all the pigs farting in unison.

Thanks for your suggestions, it's a mine field trying to decide which one to go for. Having a prob with deer and want to spot and track them from a good 500 m so need a good bright light

Clu-briter (cluson) good spotting light hand held trigger torch. Deer have legal protection during hours of darkness and you need SNH or Natural England licence to kill them after dark, but if you only want to figure out main favoured access/exit routes/density for dawn/dusk ambush the clu-briter is good hand held lamp.
