My Horner Zipper II's have just packed up (tension handle sheared off) and I wondered what opinions people have on the other clippers with the motor in the handpiece.
I don't want a battery machine or a overhead one as they don't suit my needs.
Mains Rambo from Horner...good tool.

just like buying an extra normal handpeice actually, ..........so as long a the motor lasts ....

and its 24v which makes it a bit safer...

nice to use and definitely...........Worth the money

Ask @RedMerle her opinion of motor in the handpiece machines:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Fecking shite pieces of fecking shite big cumbersome pieces of fecking shite.

SHITE
That is all

Don't buy me one for Christmas. Save your money and get me some Burgon and Ball or a coveted pair of 6 inch Rosas

This is the only motor your handpiece needs ;)

On a serious note what was that thing you gave me to use @simmy_bull. It was awful. Really bad for the hands. I wouldn't use it for anything more than crutching out a bad backside. If it's clean just blade shear it.

Rambo is just a handpiece with a motor built on the back as easy to use as a handpiece on flexi drive.

and very safe to use .

whats Rosas? like Jakotis ?

Well she did complain about the amount of vibration it produced. But it was definatly the clipping machine she was talking about :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yup that's the reason. And it was the clipping machine.

I spent ages trying to work out a way of saying it without saying it because I knew @simmy_bull would be tempted with some innuendo :eek:

Might be a bit different if @RedMerle had it in her 'vice-like' grip:confused::confused::eek:

..........just sayin' :bag::LOL:
yeah,:eek::nailbiting:....

.....anyway.... I guess it's not very often one sees a shearer wearing nail varnish ....either method .....:)

Seriously tho, ...same moves and footwork, i.e Bowen :unsure: ...but watching someone blade shearing is very different ....and refreshing ..for want of a better word ..(if they are reasonably good at it ) ..mainly... (from the limited amount ive watched ) because of the quietness of it - and the sheep seemed a bit calmer ... because of a.cooler / less vibrating /less noisy cutting tool ??
Of course, could still have the cussing and the radio :whistle::)

Well slightly different method but mostly the same. We go round the sheep instead of down it in some places. Some hold their blades with the thumb over the outside, some on the inside, some take less off on the long blow. You're not restricted to having to move round the machine in the same way so you have more flexibility
