Harkila boots

I had a pair of Harkila boots that lasted a good 10 years, very comfortable and stood some serious abuse as I wear them in the handling system when working the deer who love to stand on your feet with their sharp hooves.
During the last 2 years I had to superglue the front of the soles back on twice. I have heard that they might be made in China now but don't know for sure, I guess you would need to hear from someone who has bought in the last year or two.
I have replaced them with Iturri cold wet weather army boots at less than half the price. Too soon to give a report on them.

I’ve had these 4yrs from John Norris (£159.00)and they’ve been great, beating, shooting, been up Helvelyn and five peaks of buttermere in horrendous weather and they held up, comfy straight out the box and no issues, as said above I’ve read about leaking at the sole issues, I’m a 10 normally with a broad foot So I got the 10.5 in them

I’ve never owned a pair, but they’ve got a terrible reputation in the shooting world.
A reasonable price though so maybe worth a go.

Was going to say the same.

The shooting forums don't like Harkila boots, verdict seems to be they don't last.

As you, I've not owned pair (put off by reading the shooting forums)

Get a size bigger than you usually wear, I bought a size 10 but they were too tight round my toes, hurt like hell after a night lamping, shame as they are a nice boot and waterproof if looked after, dubbed etc, which I suspect a lot don’t bother with.

Personally i would avoid any boots with Gortex lining as sooner or later it will come apart. Just get some German para boots and keep them well greased. Between £35-60 depending on grade. They are as comfortable as slippers.
