Harvest '24 hold-up ?

WB turning nicely here, now.

This one's always quite an early, south-facing bit - have managed to cut it a couple of times in June over the years - most recently in 1984.

But not this year! - best estimate is July 7th, if the three weeks rain currently forecast actually turns up.

Everything still.got plenty potential. hasn't really had any setbacks since it was drilled. Winter crops looking good too.

I’d think it will have more potential to be a good harvest up here than down there

T3’s are normally put on in Cereals week, they are all on bar one late drilled field going tomorrow so I can’t see Wheat harvest being too different to the norm here

July weather determines harvest date more than all other factors
at current weather if July is cool and wet there will be a lot more September harvesting than normal

This time in 23 it looked like a record early harvest
Then the rain started and it was a record late hay finish and very late barley as it tillered again in july
