Still dry here.
I've got some spring barley that could do with a drink, but generally I'm enjoying not paddling about in mud for a change.
If it turns into a long dry summer, sure we'll struggle for grass but it would do us good for years to come. Dad always reckoned that the best thing for drainage on this farm was a long dry summer, letting the ground dry out all the way down and the subsoil to crack and let the water away. That hasn't happened for many years now so I try not to take a tractor into the fields for half the year as it makes too much mess.
