As per title does anyone have duovacs and use milk meters to record? Interested in what meters you use and how they are fitted. Pictures would be very helpful.

Would Waikato meters work in a duovac parlour?

Im clueless currently as to what would work in our parlour as we dont milk record at present.

What milk meters would work in a 20/40 direct to line parlour with duovacs?

What make meters? Any pics so I can see how they fit in please.
They are permanently plumbed in , MM25 meters. They measure at every milking, not sure if this is what you want to do. For sampling there is a sampler and bottle that attach under the meter, to get milk for quality or Johnes purposes.

I guess you need to reset or zero each meter after the cow has milked to put it on to the next one?

No, each unit has a meter. Can’t see a problem with using a Waikato meter with the duovac, if what you want to do is periodically sample.

Yes have I duovac and borrowed some waikato meters, works fine. I bought some ambic samplers as they are 1/5 of the price. fine for cells rubbish for components. You have to pull a couple of pipes off for the waikatos so a bit more hassle. Ambic bottles just push on once installed.
