I am just wondering where each side of the gas strut attaches to the tractor for the door? Currently no struts on one here and afraid it will break the door glass without them.

If anyone had pictures that would be excellent.

You can see in the vid at 1:23
Look to be the same arrangement as the Explorers. Strut opening length is important as too short and the door doesn't open enough. Too strong a strut and you can't open the door or get twanged across the yard when you do.
I found a reasonable condition used tailgate strut off a car is better than a new one as they are not as strong.
