Don't know how many people have it or how much more expensive it is for any of you geriatrics. Its been money well spent for me, £600 a year no excess and very comprehensive. Think you could get it as low as £400 with moderate excesses and cover.

Went in with a bad shoulder scanned and ready to do it that week but I put if off for a few weeks to get the farm in order. Got asked if I had any other complaints in pre op a week last Monday, "yeah had a few dizzy spells recently." Had a look in my ears while I was there and turns out one needed a major op on one. Cancel the shoulder in for the ear instead on the same day. Tried to get them to do my shoulder at the same time but they wouldn't do it!

I've got PHI through my job-pay £6.50/month

Went to my GP a fortnight ago with a painful and stiff knee-"Arthritis, I'll get you some physio"

5 days later get a letter saying I've got a phone appt (for physio!) in a month's time

Rang Aviva on Monday and explained the situation- "find a local physio and check back that they're on our Approved List"
Had the first session on Wednesday afternoon.
