Which heat collars with drafting gate are best or are they all the same? been looking at sensehub and datamars, sensehub are a bit dearer but are they better?

Sensehub apparently no1 in Ireland. I really have to pull my finger out and sort a system out for ourselves. Nedap apparently very good

Can't be much of a gate then.

Do all your animals have EID tags? If so, get an EID based gate. Collars come and go, the last thing you want is to have to change your gate every time the collars change.

I've got a TruTest EID drafting gate here (probably the same as the DataMars one) and it's a very, very good gate. The herd management system is also very good and very quick/easy to use. I've heard nothing but good things about the TruTest collars (again, probably the same as the DataMars ones?), so if they integrate seamlessly into their gate system, which I imagine they do, it would be a good thing.

I've got Allflex collars personally.

Do you have CowManager tags over there?

Before I fitted collars, I was going to fit tags, but the Allflex rep told me to stay well clear. Not really sure why.

There's no difference between either apart form the DM has a year longer battery in collars.
