Heat exhaustion

I’m still fairly new to cattle and because of my small number of cattle I’m running heifers and steers together. However because of the age of the cattle and the weather I’m getting heifers on heat and chasing one of the steers around chasing him to get heat exhaustion. Is there much I can do?

Separate them. Have heard from a friend that has pigs here saying if he mixes two groups together he will powder them. After asking he uses scented talc to make them smell the same Not sure if he’d been drinking or was taking the pi55 but might work.
