Used to grow them years ago, forgotten all about weather worries. Usually it was torrential rain that ruined mine.

It was a patch that wasn't at it's best. Would have been fine with a bit more rain and less heat.
When they started talking about this heatwave a week ago I knew all my strawberries were going to suffer. The maidens are faring reasonably OK.

The "heatwave" lasted one day here, 27C compared to 32C forecast on local radio. Back to 16C, drizzle then rain forecast all afternoon.
