Heavyweight triplets

Just got in from lambing a ewe. She'd been lambing for a while, so put my hand in, feet and head where there, very big lamb, felt like a single, double checked to make sure she was scanned for triplets rather than a single! Got it out, thinking the next 2 would be runts.
Came to the next one, felt a bit smaller but still a big un.
The last one is going to be the size of a rat. Hand in............another big un
I'm that impressed by them I actually weighed them!
1st born- 5.6kg
2nd born- 5.08kg
3rd born- 6.06kg
Total- 16.74kg

I had one last year like that, but not quite as big

Texel/mule ewe with charmoise ram, triplets all weighing 5-5.6 kilo each
was a few days over due, but the lambs were huge! all were fit and off to the market in July

Did you leave the three on the ewe? Just asking because I have got quite a few scanned with triplets

I don't ever leave three on a ewe, my ground and grass is not good enough to allow this, I'm not saying they can't do it, but the grass is only really good spring time and dries up in June
