Had a few in the garden last year, they brought off some young too but not seen them this year and food that we put out does not go every night, will have to put my wildlife camera up and see what is taking it.

Still see or more often hear them here, but one thing definitely on the up are hares, seen more this spring than a long time.

Spreading fert on wheat last week and I saw a hare in nearly every field.

You must be in a low pikey area!!

Thankfully yes.....

Hares seemed to take a hit about 7 years ago but back on the rise. Love to see them about and never shoot one.

Hopefully if the cull starts this autumn they should have a good few years ahead of tthem.

Plenty of hares locally too, I like seeing them about, unfortunately we have an above average population of pikeys, they have been driving all over peoples land with their lurchers over the past couple of years after hares but a few ditches dug out and some fences and their fun seems to have been slightly curtailed of late!

A hedgehog moved in here. Was eating cat food with the cat and the blackbird. Not seen it for a while now.

We have a huge number of bumble bees here this year. Garden is buzzing with them. Been stung twice. They are more an orange brown colour than yellow and black stripes. The sting is fairly mild but when they attack you can't stop them.

Also stone bees in the house wall.

Seen quite a few here running around the fields at lambing time, and for some strange reason my border collie has become obsessed by them and has sniffed out quite a few of them during the day, which he then proceeds to try and carry around :banghead::LOL:

Put the camera out the other night and this is the result. I use an old clay pipe about 5-6" dia and put dried cat food inside, foxes cant get to it, this also attracts any slugs etc too which the hogs will then eat as well. Apparently you cannot overfeed them, it's surprising how much they get through. P.S. The time and date etc are not correct, never set it.
