Hedgerows

Info the rpa have on their system are different to the actual measurements of the hedges we have by quite a bit. For the Sfi if you put more than they have on record does it get kicked out or am I better sticking to what is on there system?
Definitely not as simple as they made out to do regarding hedges, the rest of it seems relatively easy to do

the hedge row on the rlr system does not relate to the sfi hedgerow
just apply for the hedgerow lenghts you measure on the ground
either using a measuring app magic or google earth or a measuring wheel

there is no penalty for higher lenghts than you have on the ground but you will have to pay back any overclaim

Thankyou both, what does the hedgerow lengths On the rpa system mean then some of the hedgerows on field parcels are the neighbours and then it misses out complete lengths or partial lengths of our own off altogether but will then include a line of two or three trees as hedge?

Don't overthink it. The system data is pants and not worth bothering with. When we did update it all for greening, they replaced it with nonsense within a couple of years.

i have just checked the hedgerow lenghts on the rpa land register
at some point the rpa have updated the hedgerow measurments
they are now for my farm much more accurate

under the greening we had one block that had very little hedge recorded
this is now rectified so my comments above are not as relevent about using the rpa hedge lenght
i would now use the lenghts they have unless they are a long way out

when i get time i will be updating my sfi lenghts with their data at the annual declaration

because their system now reflects the actual lenght they will use that for checking
claims
