Heifer corrals

Started on the heifer facility last week and finally have something to show for it. Feed lane with pens on each side. Will house weaned calves all the way to pregnant heifers and dry cows. Also will have room for up to 60 milkers. Will snap more pics as we progress.

what height and depth are you building, i would be interested in seeing how you design it for your colder winters.

This going to be totally uncovered for now, the straw packs will be 100 feet deep on the older heifers and cow side. Weaned heifers will be 50 feet deep and 7 months till confirmed pregnant will be 75 feet deep. There will be windbreak panels around the whole perimeter of the pens and each pen will then be separated by a regular fence panel.
