Heifer moaning!

Got a new heifer on Monday. Went out today and for the first time she's laid down around me but she's moaning/groaning...is this normal? Iv never come across it before! She's chewing cud and ears up so I don't think too much is coming over her.

I have two that make some bloody stupid noises. They stuff themselves so full they look like they could pop, then lay down and groan and puff like a steam engine.... Oddly both from the same family line, they kind of look at me all happy they can't move they are that full

We bought some that did that, and they still do, two years later! It was a bit of a surprise as our homebred ones never have moaned and groaned, but this particular bunch seemed to join in with one another! I found it quite amusing once I realised they were not about to peg it / drop a calf.
