Hi there my name is Simon, I run a small bricklaying / stone masonry company in the East Fife area,
SS Bricklaying Services. I quite often find it hard to source good sandstone. Hence why I'm here, im doing a nice build out of the stone (attached) however I really need more to finish it. I need a mix of blonde, light brown, and white. The bigger the better really and any amount considered. For the right stone ill travel country wide, money waiting. What is building stone worth a ton?

Aggregates used to charge approximately £45/ton for selected loose building stone or upwards of £100/t for natural face stone cut to a bed width, for facing up block wall for example.... Though that's from memory & several years out of date!

Yes generally £35 to £90 depending on the quality. But go to any reclamation company and expect to pay no less than £120 to £200 +vat.

At that rate I must be sat on a gold mine. Have approx 3000 tonnes if anyone interested currently being put into builders bags @ £50 a bag. Stone originally from a stone bridge which has been rebuilt and strengthened. Also a number of large dressed stones

Cheap enough from our local quarry. Just had 7 quoins cut to shape for my grade 2 listed farmhouse total bill was only £250.
