Hemp farm in trouble

Rest assured gentlemen, it's not us.

Hempen have fallen foul of the same regulation we are battling to get around.

This is why our project is not going anywhere right now.

The law states you can only process 'seed and stem' many license holders attempt to get around this by 'destroying' all of the other green material by juicing it.

They then process this juice in an attempt to recover the CBD oil they would otherwise have lost.

It is widespread in the industry and causing us no end of headaches.

The company in question made the mistake of touting his product as 'UK produced CBD' but was selling an impossible quantity of product for his licensed area. We were quizzed about our involvement with them, as they sat on the some of the same panels as the company we represented.

The license we were looking to exploit last year had a unique dispensation to allow processing the juice, but the HO wouldn't allow us to extend this license to other farms. Hence the delay.

To all those who were interested in my previous call, stand by, I am hoping for news in the next few months. Hopefully this doesn't cause us any delay in that regard.

The UK would be the last place on Earth to grow the stuff.
We've started looking at Colombia, perfect conditions year round.

Here in the UK it's fine, but you need to be careful with where you are growing and what your soils are like.

Oh, and forget fibre, that's tough as can be. Seed is the way forward for UK hemp.

Growing stuff overseas but aren't allowed to do the same here? We'll call me Mr Surprised. Stupid rules. But then we are a nation where our economic prosperity relies on a large number of otherwise useless graduates being given a clipboard and told to enforce done rules, to earn money to buy wildly inflated houses so the rest can borrow money secured on these houses to buy actual stuff made overseas.

Deepest sigh.
