Herbicides on dd osr.

I have drilled oil seed rape today, in the wheat stubbel and lots of straw. The gen 400 on the old co4 did a Ok job and has placed the rape seeds and fertiliser in clean soil below the straw..
The big question is now if i will get any positive effect from applying command and Stomp (clomazon and pendimethalin) when the soil is almost completely covered in straw. The next option here in Denmark is Propaquizafob (Agil) and Kerb in winter time. That's all that are available.

It's a lot of money wasted if it doesn't work or even damage the osr but on the other hand I would hate to end up with a dirty field.

difficult to answer that. I used no pre em in DD OSR last year and was fine but had a companion crop with OSR. I do not use Clomazone as I find it hammers the rape especially in double overlaps. My don't you try with and without in the field and see how it goes and learn for next year.

That mix would worry me as we use Stomp to control volunteer OSR . It is a susceptible label weed after all.

Stomp (pendimethalin) has been used in osr here in many years to improve the command effect on grass and Cranes-bill. They are an problem around here and glyphosat don't knock them down at normal rate.

Has go on within the first 3 days, and if there is any chance of heavy rain it's better not to apply it.

I think I just will leave it alone and hope it will be OK.
