We are seeking an experienced herdsperson to work on this family owned 300 cow autumn block calving herd operating in a modern, well maintained unit in West Sussex
Simple operating system of winter self-feed silage, spring / summer paddock grazing with herd completely dry in the month of August
Attitude and values are key, you must be a conscientious and self-motivated individual who can work equally well alone as in our cheerful three person team. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in livestock, herd health and fertility. Good, quiet stockmanship skills essential. The farm holds high welfare and hygiene standards and we are looking for someone who can operate at this level. Ideally the applicant will have experience in DIY AI and foot trimming, but training is offered and encouraged if required.
Accommodation is provided on farm in a well-appointed modern comfortable three bedroomed house.
Competitive salary, 5 day week, excellent local schooling.
