Hereford beef scheme ?

In order to get the bonus on the hereford beef scheme the sire has to be pedigree but does it have to be a UK pedigree bull or would a Dutch one still qualify

Last one we sent cattle too a few years ago, the cattle went miles north to be killed,
Transport completely killed the premium

Was that Dovecote Park at Pontefract in West Yorkshire? I think they kill Herefords for Waitrose.

Been sending them as commercial beef to ABP since.

Look up the Hereford Cattle Society database (Animal Search) - type the name in carefully and see if it comes up - if it does you should be OK.
