Heston Bales how high is your stack?

Hi first post so not sure if this has already been covered.

Changed our quadrant baler for a Heston 4x4 this year (newholland bb9090)

How high can you stack them back at the yard... Quadrants we went 10/11 high.

tried some Hestons 6 high today, seems safe, but could go 7 with our loader, just wondered what hights others were going to?

I’m on quads and go 15 high would go higher if I had a 9.5 meter loadall, Hesstons round here usually 9 high.

do you go 9 high straight up or step them back, in say 3's? Geussing you stack hestons with strings facing out.

I don’t do Hesstons only quads !.
I’ve just seen they stack them 9 high, sometimes they are stepped some of the stacks are crossed like house bricks. No idea if the strings are facing out sorry.

8 high is pretty common, 9 is ok but once they’re weathered and heavy you’ll have to take the top 2 or 1 off alone and hence why people stick with 8 as you can always lift the top 2 off

That's four high...easy to count as well lying on the road like that...how kind

They look like 4x3s. Not hesstons that are 4x4. You wouldn’t get under bridges and electric cables with 4 hesstons

Those were 90x120 midi hesstons on the trailer. Standard to stack them 4 high on lorries. Also seen a fair few lorries with 3 of these bales on end for the first layer with 3 more layers on top so 3.9m high rather than the standard 3.6m

we have gone for 4 high then a step back 2 and a quadrant on top as a sacrifice to the british weather. Jcb tm320s wont lift higher than 5 hestons!
